About Us

Introduction

Bees and Cubs, a division of Nahar International School(NIS) was set up by the Nahar Foundation, a Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act. The School Board comprises of distinguished educationists and administrators. The School Board governs the school. In addition, the school has an Advisory Council comprising men and women of eminence from various fields of life.

The Principal has overall responsibility for the educational operation of NIS whereas the Nahar Foundation is responsible for financial operations. The School is divided into four sections, the Early Years Section (Bees & Cubs), the Primary Section, the Middle School Section, and the High School Section.

Bees and Cubs, a division of Nahar International School, adheres to the Cambridge International Examination (CIE), Cambridge, UK, curriculum until Grade XII. Additionally, we offer the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) affiliated with the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) in Geneva, Switzerland, for grades XI and XII. These programs are widely respected and accepted by leading universities worldwide.Moreover, NIS is also a candidate school for International Baccalaureate Career Program (IBCP).

Our curriculum is meticulously crafted to offer the best possible all-round education to each of our students through a comprehensive program. The aim is to cultivate inquiring, confident, open-minded children who exhibit reflective thinking, balanced demeanor, and well-disciplined behavior. Our ultimate goal is to nurture them into caring and responsible citizens, actively engaging with society and the world around them.

At Bees & Cubs, children engage in a comprehensive curriculum that integrates socialization, language development, literacy, numeracy, physical activity, scientific exploration, technology usage, music, art, and other creative pursuits.

The transition from informal play-based learning to structured instruction in foundational subjects like mathematics, reading, and writing reflects our commitment to holistic development. We acknowledge that children progress at their own pace and our program is designed to cater to individual needs. Teachers respond adeptly to each child's requirements, fostering cooperative play, effective communication, language acquisition, literacy skills, mathematical understanding, and spatial awareness.

Through hands-on activities and expressive mediums like drawing, painting, modeling, drama, and music, children are encouraged to observe, question, and express themselves. Our aim is to cultivate independence and critical thinking skills, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
